Got a 1.9L in lovely Atlanta Blue in April. 1st gear popping out shortly after having it. Had the gearbox (Getrag 250) off for a 1st/2nd gear selector fork replacement. Not too bad a job. M&T transmissions in Sheffield c/out the selector fork replacement - can recommend 👍🏼 Changing gears fine now!

Might upload a picture of the severely knackered worn fork 🤔

Glad to hear you got it sorted! Sounds like M&T did a solid job. Would be interesting to see a pic of the worn fork if you upload it.

Some photos of the worn 1st/2nd gear selector fork:
This is from the Getrag 250 five speed manual gearbox. Gear oil was leaking slightly from the drain plug so perhaps the car had been run with low gear oil at some point causing for the fork to wear? Apparently, it was a common fault with them. The old plugs have been superceded with new ones with a different part number which I've now fitted. £25 each though!
