I recently had an odd issue where my battery died because the fog lights stayed on with the engine off. I am going to play with the switch which seems jammed somehow.

However, I also have noticed that several of the usual dashboard lights are not showing- headlights, indicators etc. Full beam still shows, and hte foglight indicator does too. My son (who fixes and preps HGVs for mot) tells me that the lack of "telltales" on the dash for indicators etc is a likely fail so I need to get sorted very soon.

I recently fixed the heater which involved messing around under the steering wheel and I wonder whether I may have messed something up. Any clues on where to start looking? Obviously I will check fuses, but that seems unlikely given all the normal lights ont eh dash are fine- its just the warning lights for indicators, headlights etc not showing.

I have been fishing around under the steering wheel. There is a loose cable with a small white connector hanging loose. I am hoping this is the issue- but I cannot see for the life of me where it is supposed to plug in / attach. Any clues please? Photo shows the dangling suspect...
