Sorry for being more high maintenance than a Z3 right now but the passenger wing mirror is very wobbly, is there an easy cheap fix for this or do I need to replace?

Thank you.

The base and the mirror itself often "self weld" together over time and corrosion - usuall because people never turn them in and then when someone does they snap. This might be your issue. Search for "Wing mirror fix zroadster.org" in google and you should find plenty of hits.

You'll probably find it's goosed from 20+ years of corrosion and no maintenance and will need replacing. You do see them come up on here from time to time or on ebay, once resolved and to keep them from corroding 3 or 4 times a year fold them back and apply a couple of squirts of ACF-50 up into the mechanism. I do that to mine and can fold them both in very easily, I also fold them in when stored in the garage. If you pop an ad into the wanted section @spurs fan in a coupe @Andyboy or others may have some available.

The base seems solid, it’s the mirror which seems to be wobbling about at the joint?
If it was the base that was wobbly then it might have been possible to tighten the screws to the door.

But solid base with wobbly mirror means it's basically cream crackered. Possibly fixable but not worth it really. Contact one of the breakers mentioned above.

I've seen inside @spurs fan in a coupe 's tardis and it really is bigger on the inside so certainly has good mirrors in there and potentially even one the right colour.
