Hi Martin
Found 3 on Ebay that look the same on the outside but you will need to ask them to show you a pic of the inside to see if it is same as yours. The first one that I purchased the other year looked the same but was different inside
2 button remote £12.95 Ebay item 253978587926
£18.49 Ebay item 153235869946
£34.99 Ebay item 183501909499 comes with a spare key ? and an alarm key
I hope you get it sorted

Geoff

Got dorted on this today after purchasing a fob from ebay.

Had to get the glove box out and alarm module out. You can slide off the receiver module to access some pins which, when you short the right ones, disables the alarm by simulating a signal from the right fob. Despite instructions from the Web this didn't lock / unlock the doors but only activated the alarm

I could then move the switch to learning mode and set the second hand fob.

Thanks for the advice!

Maybe the alarm has desynchronised from the fob. Do you have the alarm manual with the little yellow envelope? If so it has a code inside on a card that you can input to resync the alarm.
Where do you put the code

I've only just seen this thread. My manual says that if you unlock the door with the key in the lock, the alarm will go off after a period. However, if you put the key in the ignition and turn it to 'run' within a minute or so, the alarm will not go off. Mine is a late 2002 2.2 Sport
