Write Up And we are nearly off! And now we've arrived.

Looks like you’re having a great trip. Gotta love a good Euro trip

I visited there a few years ago, certainly worth a look but the traffic is horrendous. I tried to follow the route of the GP circuit as far as possible. I think my lap time was about half an hour.
We couldn't really follow it Mike. We parked at the top on advice and bused it up and down the hill as Jue has a broken foot at present. They we're still taking down all the F1 stands so couldn't get to it all. Definitely worth a visit but as you say, the traffic is awful!

Nice write up thus far Dave. Completely echo your sentiments regarding wealth and wanting just a bit more. However, you should've said you were in town! You've snapped our Bentley RRC 4 and you could have used our superyahct to play on whilst we're "ENJOYING" the fine Scottish rain, that might I add that's exactly what we came up here for 🤣🤔. Safe journey both and hope Jue foot fully recovered soon.

A kind offer, I thank you kindly 😂.

Bizarrely, 1km from where we are staying is a Z1 in Dragon? green dor sale. There's something you don't see everyday! If we pass it again i'll get Jue to grab a pic.

Same as Lance Stroll then!

Tomorrow morning we leave this beautiful area and take the 5 hour drive to our next rest point in Italy. If it's anything as good as this stop has been grumps may smile (a little bit)

Great day today crossing over the Susa pass from Italy back into France. Sadly the full route that was kindly set up by @Nodzed didnt fully work, neither of us are sure as to why, possible road closure which my Nav worked around without my knowledge is a possibility 🤷. But that said, still a fantastic days driving, loved every minute of it! The white camper was UK plated 🙈. I've tried to upload a video but it's saying "file to large" . Dunno, i'm no techy as those that know me will confirm! 🤣

Back home now and all done until next year which maybe in a different car 😉. It's been an amazing trip and on route back we drove through the mother of all storms! Worst I can ever recall and for someone that drives 2000 miles a week for work that's saying something.

Tried to upload footage of the storm but it says files are to large. Is there an issue with larger files @GazHyde ??

Enjoyed reading this and thanks for posting. We have a similar road trip coming up from August to September this year from Argyll to Barga for the Scottish Festival. My family came to Bute in Scotland from Barga in 1915. We going over on the St Malo route and have planned coming back up via Monaco and the Santander ferry.
We went to Florence from Yorkshire in 2009 in the Z3, and took in the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. The Sat Nav in 2009 was a bit vague and took us into the centre of Florence. To the Piazzale Michelangelo to be precise. Luckily a sympathetic local police car escorted us to our hotel minus the blues and two,s.

Thanks. We both enjoy our trips and intend on doing it again next year. The sat nav was pretty good and landed very well in the main. One of the biggest issues in France is the postal codes such as 56700 are a much larger area than here in the UK which can upset proceedings a little after what may have been a long trip.

I have to admit that we have not taken the current Z4 overseas yet, but we do go overseas every year for 3 months in a motorhome, and have found using coordinates much easier than putting in a postcode. If you pinpoint the address in google maps and right click it gives you the coordinates. Always gets us to withing 50m of where we want to be. Also found using bip and go very useful for tolls which bills us at the end of the month

We have a Ulys tag for tolls, it's great and like yourself it just bills you at the end of the month. Anything for an easy life.
