Hello,
My son wanted a manual car so we found him a non-running 1999, 2.3 and trailered it 100miles home. The family dailys 3 Toyotas and an X5, and I’ve got a 1991 318iS in the garage for Sunday..
The Z3 fired right up with a battery, fresh fuel and a fuel pump. Replaced the rubber brakes hoses, flushed the lines and serviced the brakes.
Should have all the codes cleared, cooling system overhauled and a big service by Christmas Day if the weather holds. Will be reading the site for DIY tips, upgrades and so forth. Looking forward to getting her back on the road.

Thanks to you all for the kind welcome! I will come out of the closet and declare myself as a UK expat of 30yrs. that went fast. I am originally from Ross-Shire, Scotland, spent a couple of years in Gloucestershire, England then moved to the US where i have been spoiled in a climate without rusty cars. @Z Victor 1, it was especially nice to see the first reply from Derby. I hope you saw the Tin man at least once at the Baseball ground. I digress. I will keep the comments to Z3's from now on. Expect lots of stupid questions to follow.

Most certainly did watch Ted McMinn many times at the Baseball Ground (odd name for a football pitch, a long story) @Jags1885 . Rams fan (Sheepsh....r) as we're known by rivals!!:p
:baa⚽
Many other great Scots played for the Rams too: Dave Mackay, Archie Gemmel,Bruce Rioch, etc, etc.

spent a lot of time on youtube over the years watching the likes of Alan Hinton and Kevin Hector on a ploughed field. the worst part of moving to the US was leaving the footy and craic behind. On the plus side, not much need for WD40 or hot spanners over here. If you are bored seek out Allaster McKallaster (Pete Reid and fellow expat Jock living in Austin), unbiased football commentator. He's done a couple of great Derby County games with Archie. In fact Archie gets an honourable mention in 90% of his work
