Try having somebody pushing the door from the outside whilst you open it from the inside, its been known to work.

Sounds like the door rubber has stuck to the door - the door catch relies on the seals pushing the door open enough to free the door lock from the latch.

This is not unusual, and is a sign that the door seal has not been regularly treated with Gummi-Pfledge, WD-40 or silicone grease. Try spraying WD-40 on the seal from inside and outside. go away and have a cup of tea, then come back and try again, repating the process a couple of times. Sometimes it helps to lean on the back of the door to compress the seal, and while the seal is compressed lift the handle, which often unlatches the door.

The problem seems to be more prevalent on really hot days, but a prolonged layup can cause all manner of problems such as this.

many thanks for reply unfortunatly it needed some brute force with a long screw driver through one of the tox screws holes. first the elec connection fell off then the latch released and door is open wahoo. to get door mechanism out window runner out firt then its a lot of wiggle. turns out its mechanical the plastic bit that locks door is broken aaahhhh try and show some pic later should have done a progress before and after

I think he's talking about the central locking. Driver door and boot unlock but Passenger door stays locked. Which sounds like the actuator. Although when my actuator failed I could still unlock that door from the inside. So I'm not sure. 🤷‍♂️
