I have spent the weekend setting up my coilover suspension, as it just didn't feel right. I have added a small amount of pre-load to each spring and raised the rears by 10mm as it was sitting hard against the limit of the adjusters. I rides much much better, so I took it to a secluded spot and took some decent quality pictures of it all finished. There are a few!

Andy you have done an absolutely outstanding job with your rebody the interior change and attention to detail go such a long way to your finished product :scorecard:.

I have a question i take it the original Z3 already had a chrome windscreen surround and if so was it one of the things the original z3 had to have beforehand in the car you were purchasing.

Stephen.

It's plastic, self adhesive, chrome trim! The bodyshop sprayed the (blue) windscreen surround in matt black for me, then I stuck on the trims.
I wish I could say it is real but, like everything else, it's fake!

The important things to me when buying the Z3 were low mileage, no rot and a 3 litre. I got them all but the car did have a few other issues which were fairly easily rectified.

this has to be the best re body out there, i love it....stunning work, and detail is amazing.

this is the standard in which others need to follow
Thanks, although it is difficult to tell from a few pictures. It has cost a lot more money than it should to get it to the standard I required, though. Nothing is free!

I have spent some of the Winter tidying up a few little bits which I wasn't happy with: the front scuttle trim has been re-applied as it wasn't sitting right where it curves around the A pillar on the offside.
I have removed and re-installed the side wing vents as I didn't fit them very well first time (too impatient to get it finished). They needed support brackets between the outer and inner wings.
I have adjusted one of the heater flap cables, as it wasn't operating the flap all the way.
I have removed, rotated and re-adjusted the front shocks; my mate who installed them for me didn't notice they have camber adjustment so have to be installed in a specific orientation.
The suspension has been adjusted multiple times for height and damping rate. Hopefully it is done now.
I have painted the bonnet and boot hinges as these didn't look the best after the build.
I changed the thermostat and viscous fan coupling, as the stat was letting by so the engine wasn't getting to full temp.
I have also cleaned and re-dyed the roof, as this hadn't been touched during the build.
I am thinking of replacing the steering wheel, as I don't like the exposed rivets and it is a bit big. It's 380mm diameter (15") and could do with being an inch smaller.

It is all done now. Just waiting for some better weather to take it to some shows.

Hey @Pond There's a money making opportunity - there's some bloke on ebay selling pictures (yes. Just pictures) of a DNA 250 Cal for a £10'er. and that's just for the 12x8. Bigger ones are available for loadsamoney more.

Your pictures are miles better than that.
=))
I know that car, as it is the one I based mine on. The owner is the bloke with the grey hair stood in the background.
