Possible alternative second ear addition for diff

Just come across this interesting post on Facebook regarding an alternative approach to adding a second ear to the rear diff without any machining of the diff case or welding of the supporting bracket so far. See what you think.

Thanks for the link, that's a very interesting option for a second diff ear. The only thing that makes me feel uncomfortable is that the new brackets are attached directly to the trunk floor instead of the beam (I attached a picture and marked the beam red to make clear what I mean).

So if I don't get it completely wrong, the new diff ears stress the trunk floor directly which actually should be avoided at all costs?
