Yes, you should have a tenax screw, which is a screw with a ball fastener on the head which the tonneau clips on to.

As you have OEM roll hoops, the tenax screws should have a 10mm spacer on them that the mesh wind deflector clips onto too.

there has been a recent thread on here about where to find suitable replacements. Search for tenax and you should find it 🙂

Thank you very much for your offer

However... after a long search through the bundle of bits the previous owner gave me, lo and behold, these fastenings turned up!!

Result!

Thanks for your help all

With them there are some other bits I assume are tonneau cover related.... I could do with some help identifying them please

The clips are for a wind deflector, not sure on the round bits. If you are not using those clips and want to sell them, I could do with them as I have one missing. 🫤

Ok, that makes sense, thank you

as I can’t drive until June, I would like to wait until later on in this year, to see how much I use the wind deflector, before I get think about selling the clips.

thanks for your help, Chris

I think you’ll find the wind deflector a useful addition, really improving long trips with the top down. Those Tenax pins under the roll hoops, however, are less useful. A total PITA and the tonneau stays in place just fine without them. I never use them.

You'll figure it out for yourself, but the wind deflector makes a surprisingly huge difference. I didn't think I'd use mine and stuck it in the boot "just in case". Now it's fitted permanently 🤣

Agreed best improvement you can make to a zed ..The wind deflector need either 2 of those clips (the back of it would clip over your missing tennax bolt.. or 4 clips for the really old version of the deflector .

Pretty sure the round bits fit into the holes in the tonneau as a spacer/ carrier for the tanax locks to fit into, don't lose them I've been looking for a few years and can't source them anywhere.
