Hi everybody. I've been chasing down a misfire for almost a year now. Several times I think the problem has been solved only for it to return not always on the same cylinder. Started on all the bank one cylinders together. Then ,moved to cylinders 2 and 3 only and now it's cylinder 1 only.. The whole scenario is beginning to look ridiculous. I've been using an old AUTEL SCANNER but it does not show real time data. Does anyone use a more sophisticated scanner that can get me straight to the problem.? Thanks

When folks ask “what DIY scanner are you using,” it really shows how much we all value tools that just work — something reliable that gets the job done without drama. That idea goes beyond cars: the best tools support consistent results without stress or noise. I think about that with everyday habits too. It’s why platforms like https://wellness-app.com/ intermitten fasting app feel refreshing — they focus on intuitive, sustainable support rather than complexity, helping you make real progress quietly and confidently.
thanks for the information!

3 litre Z3 pretending to be Italian exotica. Two previous E89 Z4s.
I use a Creator 410 which gives live data. I heard that the 310 is better for the earlier BMWs, as mine doesn't pick up quite a lot on the Z3. It was fine with later cars I had.

I'm using an XTool IP500, it’s bmw specific, as tested on Z3, E60 and E46

It does live data and all, works really well
