Hi Rob, you can pop down to b&q Basingstoke tomorrow morning for a roll and we can have a listen and maybe get @Lee to have a quick drive. We will be there from 09.10am.

Hi Trev, that would be great thankyou. I am sure the car will be fine short distance it was more a concern whether driving 100 plus miles on it would cause damage that was worrying me.

Hi there,
Yes I still have the car. I can't imagine there are more than 2 or 3 M coupes of this colour left in the UK !

I've got a 1.9 and a 2.8 both in Boston Green with the extended leather. By far the best colour imo so adding a Coupe would be icing on the Cake for me... just need to work out the funding ...
Morning Mike, saw your comment about `steady 50MPH` .. Did you have a tyre puncture? Where? not up the Hardknott?

Yes, I clipped a rock on Hardknot and killed one of the front tyres.
Just seen a convoy of Z3s driving past Elterwater heading up Great Langdale in the Lake District. Shame I couldn’t be with you guys. Enjoy your run out……
Hi Tony, I have a problem with the boot not fully locking. The soft close mechanism doesn't seem to be working or engaging. When I lock the car on the fob it kind of locks the boot so it won't open but is not fully locked down as it would be if the soft close mechanism pulls it fully down. Is this a wiring issue and how do I check please. Many thanks Dave
I found some on USA eBay that fit and look perfect. Not ACS but looks like what they were shipped with. Would you like a link?

Hi Tim!
I found your Z3 Cobra build with Z4 seats some time ago.
Can I ask you how much work it took to fit these into the Z3?
Hi Lee,
It looks straightforward but do I need to replace the guide support Real OEM 3321092362, 3352119263, 51718413359. any advice would be appreciated. I guess spring pads would depend on springs fitted? Finally to my original question; How do you adjust the dampers for normal road height and normal road use? Sorry for so many questions but out of my comfort zone with suspension stuff.. thanks Martin

Hi Martin, you can use either lowering springs or stock springs with Koni shocks. Koni shocks normally only adjust for rebound not height. The height is determind by the spring fitted. If your changing the shocks its worth replacing those top mounts and fitting a support plate just make sure you have a large washer each side of the rubber bush or it will pull through.. Send me a PM for more info.
Hi Lee,
I mentioned in a previous post' Sophie returns. Z3M body overhaul' that I would like your advice on fitting Koni's to my 1.9 1997. I want to keep the same ride height so what springs would you recommend to do that. I have looked at Apex, H+R et al and not sure what to get? Regards fitting the dampers is there anything I need to be aware of or replace as I fit them?
Cheers Martin
